If your child needs a filling, we can present you with a range of methods to complete this treatment .
We will help you to select the one that best suits your child, particularly if your child is anxious or has special needs.
We use both white fillings and silver caps (stainless steel crowns) in our practice. Stainless steel crowns have a very long history of successful use and are known for their durability and ability to be placed on baby teeth often without needing to numb or drill the tooth. If we do need to numb the tooth, we use flavoured numbing cream and a special “magic wand” to do the numbing, which is usually more acceptable and less stress-provoking to your child than traditional “needles”.
